Okay, so indulge me. This is yesterday's post, but I had a hard time uploading the Mormon Rap so it is a day late. Today, unlike yesterday was not a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. In fact it started out great. Now with the election results rolling in, well, it looks like it is going to be a bad day overall, after all.
Did you ever have one of those days? You know,a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Today was one of those for me. I will spare you the details of the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, but give you the details of the terrific, wonderful, no bad, very good evening I had instead. By the time I finally got home from the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day it was 4:30. Ya, ya, I know it wasn't like it was 8:30, but still I leave at 6:30, so we are talking 10 hours today. And that is 10 hours with JUNIOR HIGH AGED CHILDREN. Okay, now I got you. Anyhow, I get home from the 'day' and Millie senses my anguish. She says, "let me make dinner". Now I know that hearing most twelve year olds say, 'let me cook' hardly puts one's mind at ease, but this is Millie. That is right, Millie. Creator of many a recipe, wonder chef, not only does she cook, she cleans up, Millie. Oh the joy. She decided to grill some small roasts I had in the fridge, make some seasoned, roasted potatoes and tossed up a lemony pepper salad for six. I know. Not only that, Jenna set the table and cleared off the counter. They called Doug at the office and reminded him to hurry home to eat. The boys, well they decided to make me laugh. The entire dinner was one joke after another. And you know what, they are FUNNY. I could not stop chuckling. Finally, our family night activity. Well, lets just say, we hope we never have to put our kids out to panhandle, because we would starve. The kids took a few of our LDS standards from the inserts in a recent New Era and created raps to entertain us. I am so grateful for this wonderful little family. My family! I love my little family. Thank heavens for my little family. I couldn't survive with out them. I mean, who else could turn a terrible horrible, no good, very bad day around?
